CHANCE® Helical Tieback Anchors
CHANCE® Helical Tieback Anchors are anchoring systems used to horizontally reinforce and stabilize permanent and temporary structures subjected to lateral loads from earth and water. Helical tieback anchors are used in conjunction with a variety of earth retaining systems such as sheet piles and soldier piles in order to provide additional lateral resistance beyond what is achievable by a cantilevered wall. The success of the helical anchor tieback system dates back to decades of similar use of CHANCE® Anchors in the electric utilities industry. Capacities up to 200,000 lbs. per anchor are obtainable with this quick and cost-effective helical tieback system.

Helical tieback anchors are installed into retained soil with commonly available hydraulic rotary drilling equipment. Once the minimum length is obtained, the capacity is determined by reading the installation torque and correlating it to the holding capacity ratio of the soil strength. Once the specified capacity is obtained, the helical tiebacks are then immediately tensioned and tested without the need for curing time or spoils cleanup, saving a tremendous amount of project time and cost.
